Collection: DEE PARKER

Dee Parker received her formal training at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School, where she majored in design and oil painting. After raising a family in New England, Dee was inspired to get back into painting. She took numerous courses at the New York Bronx Botanical Garden and a number of workshops with Charles Sovek, an established painter from Connecticut. She met Skip Whitcomb, a Colorado painter after moving to Wyoming in 1985.  She has studied with Skip since then; and in 1993 decided to make a career in painting. 

Dee paints on location in oil.  In the studio she takes the field study to a larger size. Dee is attracted by the changing light and its effect on her subjects while painting outside.  She likes to diversify her painting and accept new challenges. 

She has painted in Europe, Alaska, Mexico, as well as many locations in the States.  She has had numerous group and one-person shows across the country.
